TrueCrypt - Free open source on-the-fly disk encryption software for Windows XP/2000/Linux. Creates a virtual disk that exists as an encrypted container file on your compter and when given the correct password will mount as a drive on your computer. Once mounted, you have free access to read/write anything until it is dismounted - at which time it reverts to an encrypted container file.
